For Those of You Unfamiliar

For those of you unfamiliar with what the Great Lakes has to offer in terms of Spey casting for large lake run salmonids or for those who have not had the pleasure of wetting a line in a while here is a little video that sums things up pretty well. Congratulation to the author for a job well done.

I watched spey casters at the Salmon River a couple months ago and was really impressed with how much water they can cover, seemingly effortlessly. I'd like to try that. How long are those rods, like 12' or more?

Ed, most spey rods exceed 12'. The length is critical for mending long casts and picking up large amounst of line off the water. It really is a fun way to fish and yes you can cover some serious water!
