Recent Oatka Trips

Oatka Creek stretches across WNY for 58 miles and is a major coldwater tributary of the Genesse River. Here are a few pictures of my slice of heaven.

Grey Fox, Light Cahill, Tan Caddis and at dusk Sulphurs entertained the angler while trout seemed to be focused on the bugs underwater stages of life. Surface boils rather than traditional rise forms were the name of the game. Fishing emergers and cripples in the surface film got the most looks.
